WHO: Teachers in K-8 Math and ELA Classes looking for an engaging exit ticket for their classroom.

HOW: Getting started is quick and easy.  Visit https://www.zeal.com/, type in your e-mail address and create a password.  Next the teacher creates a class, and instructs students to enter a class code (specific for each individual class), and begin! Zeal has 15,000 pre-made exit tickets aligned to Common Core standards to help address what you have taught during a lesson.  The teacher just finds the grade levels and Common Core Standard, and selects to either start Exit Ticket or Edit/Review Exit Ticket.  In a nod to many other tools out there, Zeal also allows the teacher to see student responses in real-time. Zeal also does all of the grading for the teacher. Students receive points for correct answers, which can be redeemed to upgrade their avatar.

WHEN: Zeal is used for Exit-Tickets at the end of class.

In the short time I played around with Zeal, I felt as if the style of questioning was great practice for standardized testing, along with data collection teachers need to enhance lessons.

Zeal also offers a Common Core Math Tutoring service.  More information on that can be viewed here.
